Passenger Ropeways Trainer

A Passenger Ropeways trainer is a person who is certified to train lift operators in a specific area based on relevant work experience.

To obtain this certificate, you will need to submit your qualifications for review.

You are required to complete and pass the Lift 150 Train the Trainer course (offered by Selkirk College) to be eligible for this certificate. You are also required to complete our Passenger Ropeways and Passenger Conveyors: Act and Regulations course, which is offered free of charge.

To apply for your Passenger Ropeways trainer certification, follow these steps:

  1. Meet the eligibility requirements listed above.
  2. Log in to your Online Services account and follow the steps. Don't have an account? Sign up now. If you wish to apply by mail, please fill out the Contact Us form to request a paper form.

Where a current certificate holder wishes to alter the scope of their certificate to train on devices not listed on their current certificate, the certificate holder must submit supporting documentation outlining their additional work experience.

Pay the required fee. We will contact you to process a fee payment after reviewing your application.
