Sea to Sky gondola incident (Sept 2020): Media statement

Technical Safety BC’s investigation team is currently looking into this incident. As this is an open investigation in collaboration with the RCMP, we are unable to provide any comments at this time. At this time, no injuries have been reported to Technical Safety BC. 

The Squamish RCMP along with the Sea to Sky Gondola LP are seeking public assistance in identifying the individual(s) responsible for the damage to the Sea to Sky Gondola on September 14th, 2020 as well as the prior incident on August 10th, 2019.

The Sea to Sky Gondola LP are offering a $250,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. The information must be provided in the following ways: directly to a police officer, to the Police Gondola Information Line at 1-604-892-6122, or to the Police Gondola Email at GONDOLA.INFO@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
