Decision

BC Safety Authority has reviewed and carefully considered all feedback received during the consultation on railway fee increases for 2016 and 2017.

As of December 1, 2015, a final decision has been made. As approved by the Board of Directors, there will be a 10% increase to railway fees in both 2016 and 2017. The final railway 2016-2017 fee schedules* are now posted and come into effect on March 10, 2016.

*NOTE March 2, 2016: Corrections made: 1) “Application” fees for 2016 and 2017 are to remain at 2015 levels; 2) “Professional Services Rate” has been re-adjusted to $194/hour for 2016 and $213/hour for 2017 to reflect the increase communicated in consultation.
