This Directive is being issued by a provincial safety manager pursuant to section 30 of the Safety Standards Act.

General details

This Directive specifies the specific forms to be used and the method to notify the BCSA when non­ compliances are complete.

Specific details

As per requirement 20(3) of the Safety Standards General Regulation, this Directive applies to elevating devices for which a Certificate of Inspection (COi) has been issued. It requires the correction of the Non-Compliances addressed by the Elevating Devices Safety Officer and conformation submitted to the BCSA that the correction(s) have been completed.

It is hereby directed to all Licensed Elevating Devices Contractors to use the linked form below to submit confirmation to the BCSA that Non-Compliance(s) have been completed.

The Elevating Devices Non-Compliance Completion Notification forms and related Certificate of Inspections must be submitted by email to the BCSA (email address: EDNoncompliance@safetyauthority.ca with the subject line Non-compliance Completion. The documents related to each unit must be saved individually with the file name referencing the BCSA Unit Number. Multiple files can be attached and submitted in one email. Older version of the form will not be accepted and will be returned back to sender.

The signature on the Elevating Devices Non-Compliance Completion Notification form(s) constitutes a legally binding representation that the work therein referred to is complete and complies to all applicable r gulations, codes and standards.
