Health Canada has issued a consumer product recall on DeWalt 70,000-BTU Outdoor Portable Cordless Forced Air Propane Heater due to fire hazard.

This recall involves DEWALT® Model DXH70CFAVX 70,000-BTU Outdoor Portable Cordless Forced Air Propane Heater.
Issue:
If a consumer presses the on/off button too quickly, the unit may appear to turn on, but without the fan starting, which could lead to overheating and possible melting of plastic prior to the overheat safety device engaging and shutting the unit down.
As of March 7, 2025, the company has received two reports of the product overheating in Canada, and no reports of injuries. In the United States, the company has received 18 reports of the product overheating and no reports of injuries.
What to Do
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Enerco to request new supplemental instructions and a free warning sticker describing how to properly start the heater using the power button, thus ensuring that the fan starts.
