Usines Giant Factories Inc. gas water heaters recalled due to potential carbon monoxide leak

Health Canada has issued a recall of certain Usines Giant Factories Inc. gas water heaters with a specific model number that were distributed between March 11, 2021 and March 24, 2021.

Issue:

A connection in the heater can leak the combustible air-gas mixture, posing a fire hazard.

What to do:

Canadian consumers in possession of one of the recalled products should turn off the water heater and contact Giant to make arrangements for a qualified technician to replace the incorrect flue reducer.
