Damage to a house’s main distribution panelboard and feeder cable due to nail punctures

Incident overview

During installation of exterior siding, the main distribution panelboard was punctured by multiple nails, damaging a circuit breaker. A separate nail was found to damage a feeder cable. The location of the panelboard in a 2x4 exterior wall, resulted in exposure to damage by the nails which were likely driven by a pneumatic nailer.
