Incident overview
An extended drying cycle inside a biofuel filter vessel caused the filter material to overheat and ignite, resulting in a fire. The fire led to minor damage, including slight distortion of the vessel shell, burned insulation and gaskets, blackened surfaces, and destruction of instruments. Minor repairs were made, and the unit was returned to service.
