Incident overview
A qualified electrical maintenance technician was performing routine maintenance on a veneer moisture detection machine when they saw that a sensing card was not secured in its bracket. The technician removed a plexiglass barrier to reseat the card into the bracket while the equipment was still energized at 1500 V. The technician was shocked, resulting in injuries to the wrist, thumb, and ring finger.
