Incident overview
A 60-lb propane cylinder was overfilled at a commercial propane bulk plant and delivered to a customer. After the cylinder was stored outdoors, rising temperatures drove internal pressure beyond the cylinders' burst limits. The cylinder ruptured and discharged all its contents. The resulting explosion blew the cabinet door off its hinges and scattered and damaged nearby cylinders.
