Work Carrier Damaged as it was Driven into Station

Incident Overview

An above-surface ropeway, work carrier, used for ropeway maintenance and repair, was driven into the lower station terminal with a passenger on board. The collapsible upper rail of the work carrier platform, required to be lowered when entering stations, was not lowered and contact between the carrier and station was made, resulting in damage to the carrier.
