Worker Sustains Burns After Arc Flash Incident

Incident Overview

A worker’s hand came in proximity to an exposed and energized high voltage bus bar while they were trying to take photos of the load break switch knives. The system arced over to their hand, travelled up their forearm, then down to the left side of their hip, resulting in first-and second-degree burns.
