What's changed at Technical Safety BC

We’ve adapted our operations to ensure we are in compliance with public health guidelines set out by the BC Government and WorkSafeBC. We’ve also taken additional precautions to keep our clients, stakeholders, and employees safe. All Technical Safety BC offices remain closed.

How we’re reducing the risk of COVID-19 on jobsites
 

  • While we continue to conduct assessments remotely, there are some exceptions. Physical assessments will be considered when we determine them to be critical to the safety system. Learn more about assessments.
  • In addition to standard occupational health and safety requirements, our safety officers must complete specific COVID-19 training, perform an OHS hazard identification and assessment, and have the appropriate personal protective equipment before they’re able to perform any level of physical assessment. As of November 9th, they also undergo daily, in-person screening as per the Public Health Office’s instructions.
  • Site contacts must provide safety officers with their COVID-19 Safety Plan.
