Technical Safety BC’s enforcement campaign: The importance of hiring a licensed contractor
One of the priorities outlined in Technical Safety BC's 2016 – 2018 Business Plan is to improve our compliance and enforcement program. Technical Safety BC’s objective is to bring more participants into the safety system by increasing the effectiveness and reach of our compliance and enforcement activities.
Over the past few weeks, we ran a campaign to inform the public on why permits, licences, compliance and safety are important. The campaign also pointed out that disregarding these elements of our safety system will result in Technical Safety BC taking enforcement actions.
We had three stories published during this campaign. We encourage you to share them with your colleagues and clients to help explain why people need to hire licensed contractors and comply with safety regulations.
