State of Safety 2025

An overview of the safety system in BC in 2025, including informational data, trends, charts, and analysis.

A Snapshot of BC’s Safety Risks

Safety is a shared responsibility. When clients, safety partners, and the public have access to clear data and information, we can all make better decisions about where to focus our efforts and attention.

The State of Safety brings together annual data on hazards and incidents across British Columbia, including incident reporting, investigations, inspections, compliance activity, and trend analysis. This information helps identify areas of highest risk and supports safer decisions at home, at work, and in communities across the province.

Whether you are a homeowner, contractor, industry partner, policymaker, or member of the public, we encourage you to explore the report and use the data and insights most relevant to you.

At Technical Safety BC, this work supports our risk-informed approach to safety oversight — focusing education, prevention, and regulatory efforts where they can have the greatest impact.
