Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission have issued a recall for VESTA.DS VRP/VRS Tankless Water Heaters due to a defect in the exhaust duct.

The recall includes all serial numbers of VRS and VRP models, and specific serial numbers of VRS-Plus and VRP-Plus models.

Issue:
VESTA.DS has issued a recall for its VRP/VRS Tankless Water Heaters due to a defect in the exhaust duct that can crack and release carbon monoxide (CO) into homes, posing a serious risk of CO poisoning, which could lead to injury or death. As of October 10, 2025, there have been 10 reports of cracked ducts in Canada and 33 in the U.S., with no reported injuries or fatalities.
What to do:
Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the affected units and contact VESTA.DS for a free repair by a certified technician.
