Pressure Vessels

Before work begins, your licensed contractor must submit an Installation Notification for Pressure Vessels. For additional guidance on notification requirements, see the Directive on Boiler, Pressure Vessel and Refrigeration Notification and Declaration of Compliance Requirements.

1. Apply and pay for a permit through your account or using our online Installation Notification for Pressure Vessels form. If you use the form, you will have to submit payment separately through mail, or by calling us.
2. Once your application is approved, Technical Safety BC will issue a permit number.

Boilers

An installation permit is required before a boiler operating permit can be issued. After installation, Technical Safety BC reviews your submission to ensure all requirements are met. This review may include an inspection before the operating permit is issued.

1. Apply and pay for a permit through your account or by filling our online form for boilers installation permits. If you use one of these forms, you will have to submit payment separately through mail, or by calling us.
2. Once your application is approved, Technical Safety BC will issue a permit number.
3. Once the installation is completed, you can then submit the Boiler and Refrigeration Declaration form, which can also be found in your account.
4. Technical Safety BC will process the request and determine if a further physical assessment is needed.

If you or your company is no longer responsible for the address registered with us, complete the Change of Ownership form.
