Amusement Devices

Operating Permits

Overview

Owners and operators of amusement rides and devices, including waterslides, ziplines, train rides, wakeboard tows and inflatables require a permit issued by Technical Safety BC.

Once your amusement device design has been registered, installed, and has passed the acceptance inspection, an operating permit invoice will be automatically issued.

Pay for a permit through My Account or by calling us within 60 days of passing the acceptance inspection.

Operating permits expire after one year. A renewal invoice will be sent to the permit holder near the permit’s expiry date. It must be paid and renewed before the expiry date to continue operations using this permit.
