Technical Safety BC Refund Policy
Fees
This policy applies to all Technical Safety BC products and services, including exams, certifications, permits, and licenses.
When you may be eligible for a refund
You may be eligible for a refund if:
- We cancel a service, such as an exam or inspection.
- We make an error while processing your payment, application, or certificate.
- You overpay, and the extra amount can be refunded or credited to your account.
- You cancel before using the service, for example, before an exam is booked or a permit is issued.
When refunds are not available
Refunds are not available if:
- The service has already been delivered, meaning Technical Safety BC has completed the work or provided the service, such a completing an inspection or administering an exam.
- The payment was made more than two years ago.
- The refund amount is less than $100.
How to request a refund
- Complete the online Refund Request (Form 1020) application.
- Upload proof of payment, such as your invoice or receipt.
- Submit your request. Once approved, refunds are processed in approximately four weeks.
