Installation Permits
Overview
Licensed contractors planning to install an amusement device in BC require an installation permit issued by Technical Safety BC. Amusement devices can include rollercoasters, ziplines, and waterslides.
View a list of equipment that does not require an installation permit.
Amusement devices also require an operating permit.
How to Apply
- Register your amusement device before applying for an installation permit. Once your design registration is approved, you will be automatically registered for an installation permit.
- Pay for a permit through My Account or by calling us.
- Once the installation is completed, an inspection is scheduled.
