Training & test administration recognition

High-quality technical program providers are vital to British Columbia’s safety system. Recognized technical programs ensure our qualified individuals have the skills and knowledge to safely install and operate technical systems and equipment across the province.

A recognized technical program can be delivered by an individual, institution, or a company. These programs provide training and examinations to individuals who wish to acquire or maintain certifications with Technical Safety BC.

Having your technical program recognized

To have your technical programs recognized you must complete an online application form, provide required documents, and pay the applicable fees. Some requirements include:

  • List of instructors, including qualifications
  • Program or course outline
  • Program or course material
  • Sample of record of course completion
  • Sample of exam/test record
  • Quality control manual

Please note that some training programs may require a facility assessment.
